1. Locate and remove air suction valve covers and reed
valves. Gaskets should stay on cylinders.
2. Install block off plates (COASTERS) with hardware supplied. Sealer
can be used if needed.
3. Locate vacuum switch (canister/canisters). Plug vacuum source to
switch (small line). Remove
switch and hoses. (Note: Some use electrical switch assm).
4. (California models only) : Remove Canister and separator. Plug vacuum
line to throttle assembly and plug fresh air source.
Leave gas tank right rear breather line open (extension to under seat
may be helpful). Plug left rear breather line.
Vulcan Models: 800 All
1. Locate and remove vacuum switch canister and hose between cylinder
heads. Plug or connect
hose fittings on cylinder heads. Plug vacuum source.
2. California models refer to step 4 in 1500 model instructions.
